About Relate for Parents

When most people think of a "parent" they have visions of young and very young children being parented. Relate know that the joys and struggles of parenting last throughout life and ebb and flow through many stages of life experiences.
The role of 'parent' can encompass many more labels than that of a 'mum' or 'dad'. We also know that those who take on the role of 'parent' are vast, e.g. step-parents, adoptive parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, even siblings.
So whatever category of parent you fall into, a lot of the joys and struggles will be common to you all.

We aim to offer ideas, guidance, support and information for those who are searching for something that will make a difference. Our focus will usually be on the relationship or relationships that influence your role as a parent.
