Richie has bonded further with Steve because of the fishing and is looking forward to the holiday.

• Have the family chosen a holiday in Ireland because it will help Steve and Richie to get on better by fishing together? If so, do you think that Chloe feels excluded?
• Sometimes families make extra effort with a child who has been a problem - and this may cause strong feelings in a child who has been good. what ideas do you have about helping both children feel valued? Maybe Zoe and Chloe need a shopping trip - or at least to have a treat time together.
• The holiday will not work as a family bonding if Chloe begins to feel resentful if she can't go to Tenerife with her friend's family, and that Ireland was chosen by Steve for the good fishing. Maybe Steve and Zoe needed to think more about the needs of both children.
