Chloe's reaction to her mum asking her how she would feel about her and Steve having a baby is pretty typical. Most teenagers find it hard to believe that their parents have a sexual relationship, never mind them having a baby as proof that they do!

• Do you think that Zoe's decision should be influenced by Choe's reaction to the idea?
• Would it have been better to keep the decision private between Zoe and Steve and inform Chloe when Zoe was already pregnant?
• Are there some decisions that should be made by the adults in a family on their own?
• Do you think that Zoe might use Chloe's reaction as an excuse not to have another baby, rather than say she does not want one?
• If so, how do you think that might affect Steve's relationship with Chloe?
