Whether or not to have a child together is something that couples often do not talk about early on. And even when they do, one partner may change their mind. This is a decision that does not allow for any compromise - either you have a child or you don't! It is good that Zoe is thinking about the impact on her existing family, as they may have all sorts of emotions if their mum has a baby with Steve - from how lovely to how embarrassing! 

• What do you think about whether Steve and Zoe should have a child together?
• Do you think Zoe is right to talk to her children about having a baby --or is it a decision that she and Steve should make on their own?
• How do you think Steve would react if the children say they don't want another child --and Zoe goes along with them?
• Do you think it would make him feel excluded from the family as he has done at times before?
