Valentine’s Day on a budget
Here are some ideas of Valentine’s day gifts that you can make for a low cost. Often your loved one really appreciates the time and thought you have put in to a home made gift.
Make a CD of favourite songs –include that special song from your early days together
Put heart shaped post it notes all around the bathroom mirror with something you love about your partner written on each one.
Give a love token –promise your loved one a day free from chores, or a trip to the cinema, that you will make their favourite dessert –or to be allowed to watch their favourite sport without interruption.
Send a virtual bouquet.
Send a loving text message every hour.
Load a screen saver of roses on their computer or phone
Copy a love poem using your computer and put a heart border around it. You could put it in a double frame with a picture of you on one side and the poem on the other.
Write some messages to your loved one and hide them in various places for them to find through the day. You might put one in their pocket, in their wallet or bag, inside the laptop –be imaginative. One or two might not be found for a few days—and it will remind them that you love them.
Include your children by setting up a love or heart themed Treasure Hunt. Try some gifts from the Pound Shop –leave the first one on their bed for when they wake up, with a clue to where the next one is. Make some easy to find and some really difficult. You and your partner might get some time to yourselves whilst the kids search.
